Creating simple nail designs is fun, but it can be a lot of work maintaining the beauty of your nails. Sometimes it's easier to paint your nails right out of the bottle and keep it going. Fortunately, simplicity meets creativity with this nail design.

Creating simple nail designs on the thumb or ring finger only is gaining popularity. It allows you to add a bit of interest to your nails. One of the easiest things to do is draw some random lines on top of your nail polish. For a base color, choose red like in the photo or whatever your preference. Simple nail designs that use black and white lines look best on red, blue, black and pale backgrounds. You can also choose different colors to draw your lines with, but black and white are popular. Just make sure to use a nail art brush so that your strokes are nice and thin. If you do not have a nail art brush, you can use regular nail polish, but be careful that your lines are not too thick.

Finishing up your simple nail designs

Starting with the left side of your nail, draw several black and white strokes. These lines will almost look like they are extending from the same place. Make sure your lines vary in length to add necessary randomness. Your lines should also curve a bit either upwards or downwards like in the picture.

On your other ring finger, you have the option to create similar designs or to be spontaneous and change it up. Both looks will look great. If you decide to change it, this time you should start at the upper left-hand corner of your nail. Taking your nail art brush, create several lines that curve downward. Alternate between black and white nail polish lines to add flair!

These nails come is a number of designs and colors catered to the customer's tastes. The nails are commonly applied for a special occasion, but many women choose to use acrylic nails as part of their regular beauty routine. Using these nails is a fantastic way to lengthen and strengthen short, brittle nails.

Some people actually use the nails to stop themselves from biting their nails. Nail biting is a tough habit to break. Artificial nails are a wonderful deterrent for the habit because the nails are quite strong and nearly impossible to chew. For this reason, many people choose to maintain acrylic nails on a regular basis. Routine maintenance also stuff splitting and breaking of the nails. The bi-weekly maintenance for artificial nails is less trouble than maintaining natural nails.

Beautiful nails sure can be sexy, there's no denying that. The industry itself is huge, from the products that are sold, to the nail technicians that service the needs of individuals.

Many nail technicians suggest that acrylic nails should be cared for as if they were natural nails. It is a good idea to avoid exposing the nails to water for an extended period of time. The water can seep in between the acrylic and the natural nail, causing damage and possible infection. Wearing rubber gloves when washing dishes is recommended, but aside from that, artificial nail wearers can go about their usual routines without worry, especially if the nails are applied using quality materials.

The acrylic nails that are created by mixing a powder with a liquid. Nail artist literally paint and shape the nails into place using this mixture. The liquid recommended by most professional nail technicians is Ethyl Methacrylate, or EMA. Ethyl Methacrylate is a little more expensive than its alternative, Methyl Methacrylate or MMA. Most nail artisans urge customers to choose Ethyl Methacrylate because of its superior quality. Excellent materials and proper nail care insures consumers that their nails will enhance their hands with style and safety.

Nail Polish Designs

Before you get to the creative part, you must first prepare to do your own nail designs. In other words, it is best to give yourself a quick manicure or pedicure before applying nail art. Beautiful bare feet look great in a nice pair of shoes, but not if you have dry, ashy feet. You want your feet to appear radiant by using the right foot care products on them.

If you already take care of your hands and feet, you may only need to apply lotion before doing your nails. At a minimum, wash your hands or feet and apply lotion. After applying a moisturizing lotion, take a towel and rub it well across each nail. Also use the towel on your hands. This will remove any oils on your nails so the nail art stays in place when you apply it later. Next, you should trim your nails into the shape you want them for your nail designs. Usually, people follow the natural shape of their nails whether that is square, round, or triangular. A nail file can shape and trim your nails easily without removing too much of your nail.

If you are using nail decals, pick one off carefully with a pair of tweezers and place it on to your nail. Finish with a thin layer of clear nail polish to keep it all in place and you are done!

Simple Nail Art Designs

Nail designs have become quite popular these days and every other girl want to carry one or the other such design so that she too can look ultra trendy! However, not all of you have the time and even zeal to go to the nail art salons or beauty parlors and get the art done on your nails. You need not worry about that- you can also make these designs at home- its simple! And what more- you need not know painting and use of brush strokes to make nail art designs. There are many other options that are not at all messy. You just need to get them and apply them. Here are some choices for you to get started with making nail designs at home.

Use Nail Art Decals Stickers

Decal stickers, as the name suggests, stick to the nails to make them beautiful. You just have to buy some attractive decals stickers from a beauty shop and follow the instructions given there right on the packet containing these stickers. Usually, you have to give a base coat, place a decal on your and gently press down on the dried nail polish. Finally, you must apply top coat to seal the design.

Use Nail Art Pens

These pens are one of the most easiest ways of making nail designs. They have the precision of brush applicator and yet easy to use. You have to apply base coat and dry it completely. And then just apply the art design with the help of the pen as if you are drawing on a paper or so. Let it dry and then seal it with top coat.

Use Nail Art Canes

Polymer clay is efficiently used by many nail products manufacturers to make canes with attractive designs. They are mostly handmade with beautiful designs. Their diameter lies somewhere between 1/8 inch (3 mm) and 1/2-inch (14 mm). Although they are of tiny sizes, their designs are perfectly visible. You have to just take a sharp blade and cut slices from these canes. Some of them have to be warmed before slicing. You have to just embed these design slices in your acrylic or nail gel. They can also be used with nail polish. However acrylic-based polish is best for using cane slices.

Toe Nail Designs

Toe nail fungus medication is often a private matter. For this reason you do not have the sounding board of friends and/or family to bounce the pros and cons of medication off of. If you have a severe case of toe fungus, then by all means consult your doctor. However, you may want to skip the typical toe nail fungus medication that your doctor will prescribe if your case is not all that severe or if you have not tested out a few home remedies and over the counter treatments first.

Why would you want to avoid taking a pill, which seems so much simpler in the end? Because the current toe nail fungus medication in prescription form does a little more damage to your body than the toe nail fungus in general. It's rarely a good idea to take medication when the treatment is worse than the disease. A rare exception might be chemotherapy treatments for cancer patients. Since fungus isn't quite as devastating, in most cases, as cancer it's probably better to save the medications for more persistent and resilient cases.

So what can you do other than take toe nail fungus medication? There are actually quite a few excellent topical treatments you can try at home. Many of these are available in your kitchen cabinet, some are available in stores, and other homeopathic treatments are generally available in either specialty shops that cater to clients interested in holistic healing.

What are some of these miracle alternatives to toe nail fungus medication? Glad you asked. One of the most commonly used (and believed to be most effective) holistic treatment for toe nail fungus is tea tree oil. You can either use products that have tea tree oil in them or place two or three drops of tea tree oil on your toe nails 3 times a day until the problem is completely gone. Direct application is much more effective though some people are more sensitive to pure tea tree oil than when it is diluted in soaps and/or lotions.

Pau d'Arco is another great toe nail fungus medication alternative. This can be used in the form of a tea that is ingested or a soak for your feet. This works as nature's form of an antibacterial and anti fungal treatment that works wonders without the side effects of the toe nail fungus medication that is typically prescribed by doctors.

Gel Nail Designs

A polymer clay brand, Fimo has emerged as one of the most popular nail decoration ideas among nail technicians and their clients. Millefiore clay canes made of Fimo and used on nails are known as fimo nail art. Fimo is known for its properties of firmness, strength and ability to retain shapes without distortion which is one of the reasons for its popularity among nail technicians. Clients love this nail art because it looks great on their nails, there are so many options to select from and it lasts really long on their nails.

Using Fimo nail art is a great way for nail techs to take their business forward. It saves them a lot of time in terms of crafting, designing and painting nails manually. The nail expert is therefore not required to have the skills to paint and sculpt acrylic as Fimo comes in canes of hundreds of designs as well as pre sliced if the tech demands. The client just has to select the design or pattern they would like and paste them on the nails.

If you are a professional, Fimo canes are the best option for you, as they can easily be embedded on gel nails, nail polish and even acrylic nails. For application on nail polish you have to make sure that the cane is sliced paper thin, about 0.1mm to 0.2mm and applied carefully with a pinpoint tweezer. First apply the base coat and then place the Fimo slice with a drop of glue on the nails. You can then complete the nails with the application of the top coat.

For embedding Fimo slices on gel nails, first sculpt the nail with the gel and then apply the slice pressing down with a plastic wrap. Cure the gel nail under the UV lamp and complete the rest of the gel nail procedures. For acrylic nails, apply the colored acrylic on the nails, then the clear acrylic. Place the Fimo slices on the uncured surface and cap it with the last coat. Shape nails to the desired level to get the best results. If you think the Fimo slice is too thick, you can let it dry and file away the excess and then top it up with the last coat.

It is best to invest in whole Fimo canes as you can always slice it to the desired thinness yourself without any wastage and also use them on natural nails. However, it is important that you slice the canes with a very sharp blade to avoid smearing the pattern and distorting its shape. Canes should be ideally warmed before use so that you can cut them with ease. Warming can be done either by rubbing the cane between your palms or by holding it under light for a while. Some Fimo sticks today do not even have to be warmed before slicing.
